When I was in eighth grade, I desperately wanted to go to the same private high school as my older sister. There was a long intensive interview and application process. I wasn’t sure I was going to get in. I thought I would just die if I didn’t get in.
Then one day, while I was babysitting Mary (my six year-old little sister), a letter came in the mail. An acceptance letter to the high school in question!
I screamed. I cried. I hugged that letter tighter than I have ever hugged anything before (or since).
My little sister took one look at me and said “If you love that letter so much, why don’t marry it?”
As soon as I came across the photo seen above, that line came rushing back to me.
“If you love that sign so much, why don’t you marry it?”
Little sisters. They really are the gift that keeps on giving.
